Vic Barnhart is a consultant to nuclear service and chemical companies on operations, strategic planning and acquisitions. Vic has over 20 years of senior executive experience in nuclear fuel cycle facility operations, environmental remediation, hazardous and radioactive waste management and industrial and chemical plant services. He served as CEO of a number of Waste Management Inc. companies including NSC Corporation, Rust Remedial Services, Chem-Nuclear Systems and The Brand Companies, and before then held management positions with Westinghouse Electric and Nuclear Fuel Services-Getty Oil. He has also served on the boards of The Brand Companies, NSC Corporation and OHM Corporation. Vic joined the Board of Directors in 2008 and serves on the Audit and Compensation Committees.
Joe Colvin is a former senior executive with over 40 years of experience in the nuclear energy field. Joe serves on the Board of Directors of Cameco Corporation, the world's largest uranium producer, and is a director for the American Nuclear Society. He is President Emeritus of the Nuclear Energy Institute, Inc. (NEI), serving since 2005 and previously served in various executive positions with the NEI including President and CEO (1996 to 2005) and Executive Vice President and COO (1994 to 1996). Joe previously held senior management positions with the Nuclear Management and Resources Committee and the Institute for Nuclear Power Operations. Joe served 20 years as a line officer with the U.S. Navy nuclear submarine program. Joe joined the Board of Directors in 2008 and serves on the Corporate Governance Committee.
Roy Eliff is a mergers and acquisitions consultant to solid waste and environmental companies. Roy has served as an officer, director and Chief Financial Officer of publicly held companies, including 20 years as Vice President of Corporate Development/Acquisitions for Browning Ferris Industries. Roy joined the Board of Directors in 2002 and serves as chairman of the Compensation Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee.
Ed Heil is a land developer and private investor, and has owned and operated one of the largest solid waste landfills in the midwestern United States. Ed has more than 40 years experience in the construction and waste service industries. Ed joined the Board of Directors in 1994 and serves on the Corporate Governance Committee.
John Poling is former Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at The Tube Media Corporation, a music television network. He now serves on their Board of Directors. Previously, John was a partner at financial consulting and information technology firm Tatum Partners. He has also held Chief Financial Officer and other executive positions with U.S. Plastic Lumber Corporation, Roy F. Weston, and Envirosource Technologies (previous owner of the company's Grand View, Idaho waste disposal facility). John joined the Board of Directors in 2006 and serves as the chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Compensation Committee.
Jeff Merrifield is Senior Vice President for business development, strategic planning, regulatory and government affairs with Shaw Power Group, a division of The Shaw Group, Inc. Jeff served from 1998 to 2007 as a Commissioner with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("NRC"). He previously served from 1995 to 1998 as Counsel and Staff Director for the Senate Environmental and Public Works Committee's Subcommittee on Superfund, Waste Control and Risk. Jeff has a degree in Environmental Law from Georgetown University and is licensed to practice law in Washington D.C. Jeff joined the Board of Directors in 2007 and serves as the Lead Independent Director and chairman of the Corporate Governance Committee.
Steve Romano is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer. Steve brings 30 years of diverse radioactive, hazardous and solid waste management experience as a senior executive, business development director, project manager, regulator and consultant, including support to the International Atomic Energy Agency on nuclear waste matters. Before joining the Company, he served with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the Idaho National Laboratory, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Steve joined the Board of Directors in 2002.
